I shall always lie deeply grateful that I have had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School.

One morning at work I went out to the yard; and while walking back into the shop, I stepped on a stone and very clearly felt and heard a bone in my foot snap. The pain was severe and I could not move for a while; so I sat down and started declaring the truth as we are taught in Sunday School. I repeated "the scientific statement of being"' found on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I considered over and over again the truths it contains, which include this one: "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness." The pain eased a bit. I went back into the shop and tried to work as best I could, but I was pleased when one o'clock came, which was my lunch time.

I managed to walk to my mother, who was working five shops down from where I work. When I walked in, my mother asked me what was wrong. When I told her that I had felt the bone snap, she quoted from Science and Health (p. 424), "Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the notion of chance to the proper sense of God's unerring direction and thus bring out harmony." She then took me home.
