Individual Demonstration, Not Rivalry

"Through the good works of others, we are often led
to improve our own efforts"

The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ" (Rom. 8:16, 17). Because man is the heir of God, or, as Christian Science explains it, the perfect reflection of Principle, he is not limited by a false sense of competition. The way to gain freedom from the carnal mind's concept of rivalry is to learn more of our true individuality in divine Science. Why? Because man, made in the image and likeness of God, already has all that he needs. As Paul has said, we are all "heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ." Through consistent right thinking, we find that God's treasures of peace, harmony, and affluence become available to everyone.

The fear that someone, something, or some force can take one out of his right place or deprive him of anything good in his experience is a denial of God's government.
