The physical healings I have experienced through the application of Christian Science are many. Most of the inharmonious conditions which have been corrected might be called minor aches and pains, but a few have been of a serious nature.

One particular difficulty, which I believe was sciatica, lasted for a period of several months, during which time I was unable to sleep for more than short periods of time because of the pain. I am grateful for the consecrated help of several practitioners on different occasions. Their prayerful work brought temporary relief from the suffering. During the months of mental darkness and pain, I often walked the floor by night reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I am thankful that I was never tempted to have a physical diagnosis or to rely on medical treatment.

When the healing came, it was immediate and has remained permanent throughout the past ten years. I was studying a newspaper reprint of a lecture by a Christian Science lecturer when my attention was arrested by his statement to the effect that the realization of a right idea is Immanuel, or "God with us." A door seemed to open in my thought, and a ray of light entered.
