On an extremely hot summer...

On an extremely hot summer day three years ago, my wife and I, accompanied by her two younger brothers, drove our car over an old power-line road in the back hills of Nevada. As we drove through the center of a dry-lake bed, the wheels of our car sank deep into loose sand. All efforts to move the car by physical force alone proved to be of no avail.

The situation seemed alarming since we were over ten miles from an infrequently traveled public highway and over twenty miles from any dwelling. The temperature of 120 degrees and the lack of drinking water made the picture even more discouraging.

Then I turned my thought away from erroneous and fearful beliefs and prayed wholeheartedly for an understanding of God's loving guidance. I realized that man can never be anywhere but in God's perfect creation and that I now had an opportunity to prove this truth.
