The Theology of Christian Science

"The theology of Christian Science includes healing the sick," writes Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health (p. 145). Does this mean that there are different kinds of theology?

The theology of Christian Science differs from other theologies, but the difference is not nearly so important as the correspondence of Science with the theology of Christ Jesus, who declared (John 7:16), "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me," and who also said (John 14:10), "The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works."

One dictionary definition of theology applies particularly to Christian Science. It refers to theology in its Christian form as "a deductive science in which the premises are supplied mainly by authoritative revelation (in the Bible or the teachings of the church)."
