Ye shall know the truth, and...

"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). Christian Science is the truth that makes men free. The textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, was indeed the key that opened the Bible to my waiting thought, for I had longed during many years for an understanding of the Word.

When faced with much discord and little hope for relief, I was introduced to Christian Science. I turned to the columns listing the names of practitioners in The Christian Science Journal. I felt that I might write a letter to one of them, and no one else would know that I had made this appeal for help. I deliberated for weeks, but I finally wrote the letter.

I shall always be grateful for the consecrated work of the practitioner to whom I wrote, because her clear understanding of Truth brought healing, and her reflection of Love guided my first footsteps in Christian Science. Without any particular effort on my part, healing took place as my fears were destroyed.
