"LET YOUR WORKS CONFIRM YOUR SPEECH"

Many people today are asking this question: "Is Christian Science the Comforter that Christ Jesus promised would come and meet all human needs?" To give a full and satisfying answer to this inquiry, could Christian Scientists find a better way than to let their lives speak for their faith?

Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, said, (Matt. 5:16), "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Our duty is clearly defined in these words. We must live consistently the life of a Christian Scientist, a life full of good deeds and healing works, so that all may see the effects of this Science. Our lives must conform to what we orally profess to the world.

A life which expresses the Christlike qualities of the one infinite God, good, does more for the community and for mankind than any number of deep intellectual statements made regarding divine Science. Mary Baker Eddy named her discovery Christian Science, and this term shows that Science is related to Christianity and that it applies to human needs.
