"Citizens of the world, accept the 'glorious liberty of the children of God,' and be free!" These inspiring words from page 227 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy recall the freedom Christian Science has given me from sorrow, despair, false appetites, and physical disorders.

About fifteen years ago my father, my mother, and my husband all passed on within three years of each other. I felt completely unsettled and destitute of love and support. Although I had three little girls who had to be cared for, my outlook got so bad that I was in a state of great depression and nervous shock.

I had an aunt who was a Christian Scientist, and she encouraged me to take my children to a Christian Science Sunday School. One day I asked the superintendent of this Sunday School if I might talk to her about myself. We had a fine talk, and later she asked me if I would go to see a practitioner.
