It is with humility that I publicly express thanks to God for Mary Baker Eddy and the teachings of Christian Science. Over thirty years ago this religion was brought to my notice. It resulted in the healing of a member of my family of a nervous breakdown, which had not yielded to much medical treatment. Seeing this result, I wanted to know more about the religion and began to attend a Church of Christ, Scientist, and to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

From very early years I had a deep sense of the fatherhood of God. I believed that disease and death were part of God's plan, but that all would be well sometime, somewhere. Christian Science taught me that all is well now and that as we are loving and obedient to spiritual law we can overcome all discords.

Over the years my family has experienced protection from accidents and healings of scarlet fever, hemorrhoids, heart attacks, a dislocated wrist, and effects of eating poisonous berries. Some of the healings have been the result of my own understanding of and obedience to Principle, but most of them have come through the help of a faithful practitioner.
