Christian Science was presented to me nearly thirty years ago. I had been a member of an orthodox church for many years and had served it in many capacities, but I was never satisfied with what I had learned of God.

The first testimony meeting I attended in a Church of Christ, Scientist, was a revelation to me. I borrowed "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy from a Christian Science Reading Room and for two months read little else. One day I awoke to the realization that I was completely healed of a lameness which had existed since babyhood. I was walking normally, and the nagging pain of many years was gone. This healing was brought about entirely through the reading of Science and Health.

More recently I had another beautiful healing. I had worn glasses for over fifty years. They were so much a part of me that it did not even occur to me to prove the nothingness of the need for them. But Love compels us to go forward. My eyes began to hurt, and when I would try to read, tears would pour down my cheeks. I had my glasses changed, but when I tried the new glasses, the pain was unbearable.
