It is quite time that I send a testimony for publication so that it may encourage others in regard to the many blessings which the study of Christian Science brings into one's life. My first healing took place in South Africa about 1930. Suffering greatly from severe bowel trouble and gaining no remedial effect from medical science, I asked my husband if he was agreeable to my trying Christian Science.

He replied that he did not mind what I tried as long as I got better. He took me to a practitioner, with whom I remained for about an hour. The practitioner referred me to passages in Science and Health to study. These I read and reread.

One morning some time later, while alone in the office, I was studying these quotations. One of them was (Science and Health, p. 151), "Every function of the real man is governed by the divine Mind." When I read this I felt the healing effect of Truth throughout my entire body. When I told the practitioner of this, she informed me that she had been working for me at that time. My husband said that the saving of the chemist's bills alone was enough to convince him of the efficacy of Christian Science. This healing has proved to be permanent.
