"LOOK UNTO ME"

In the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, " Mary Baker Eddy writes (pp. 82, 83), "In a world of sin and sensuality hastening to a greater development of power, it is wise earnestly to consider whether it is the human mind or the divine Mind which is influencing one." The influence of the divine Mind leads to peace, progress, and prosperity among men and nations.

In the book of the prophet Isaiah we read the following command of God (45:22): "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." How important it is, then, in these troubled times, to look to God for guidance and strength and for the solution of all human problems.

Today much is printed and spoken of ideologies among men and nations. An ideology may be defined as a set of human concepts, prejudices, and convictions which determine the point of view of men or of nations. Such ideologies affect government and actions, individually and collectively. They are not permanent, because they are not based on divine Principle. They must give way to the power of the Christ, Truth. This power, as revealed in Christian Science, is unerring. The understanding and practice of spiritual truth is fundamental to the success of all human government and achievement.
