"O Lord, open thou my lips: and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise" (Ps. 51:15). For over twenty-five years I have enjoyed many blessings which have come to me through the teachings of Christian Science. In gratitude to God I wish to tell of some of my healing experiences.

During the influenza epidemic of 1918 I was left a widow, penniless, and with a year-old baby Being of a timid, dependent nature and untrained for am profession, I was in a state of lack and distress for several years. Each year I suffered from influenza, and my health frequently broke down, necessitating the relinquishment of my positions. Thinking that I had been deprived of health, happiness, home, and security, I wandered in a wilderness of misery, doubt, and ignorance of God.

Then all was changed. I heard of Mrs. Eddy and her discovery of Christian Science. Shortly afterwards I kept house for a practitioner and I had the opportunity to meet other Scientists. In addition I began attending services at a Church of Christ, Scientist, and my son was placed in the Sunday School. After studying and accepting the truths of this regenerating, healing religion I was healed of eczema, as well as of frequent colds. When I lost my fear of attacks of influenza and overcame the vain, depressing regrets of past experiences that disease also ceased to plague me.
