RADIO PROGRAM No. 42 - The Way to Unfailing Protection

On this program Howard L. Cheney of Evanston, Illinois, told of his own experience as follows:

While serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, I found peace of mind and freedom from fear, even in the presence of great danger, through the understanding of God's protecting law.

One experience of this kind took place during a flight over a vast jungle territory in Africa. Without warning we were struck by a violent tropical storm. Even before we had time to adjust our seat belts, the severe wind began twisting and throwing the plane, jerking it up, then suddenly forcing it downward. This was repeated many times. The pilot and copilot struggled valiantly at the controls, but finally seemed at the point of surrendering to the elements. Great fear was expressed, even on the part of several veteran fliers aboard, that the ship could not withstand the strain.
