WHAT SHALL WE BRING?

Gold and frankincense,
Myrrh from afar
Brought Wisemen of old
Who saw the star.

Now what shall we bring
This Christmas Day,
Who have seen Truth's star—
Eternal ray
Majestic in light
That fills the earth?
What gifts shall we bring
Of holy worth?

Peace that is golden,
Without alloy;
Myrrh of sweet concord,
Incense of joy,
Treasures of Spirit:
Adoring again
Love, the all-present
Saviour of men.
