An editorial entitled "Testimonies"...

An editorial entitled "Testimonies" published in the Sentinel of November 22, 1952. prompts me to express in writing my deep gratitude for Christian Science and particularly for a specific healing of lack that took place eighteen years ago.

Although I had been a student of Christian Science for quite a few years and had been completely healed of several severe physical ailments, I had drifted away from it and had come to a point of crisis, where all material streams were dried. The threat of the loss of my home sent me to a Christian Science practitioner, an old friend whom I had avoided for years. The Christlike compassion with which he received me made me feel that my trouble could not withstand the love that was expressed.

His remedy for me was simple: "There seems nothing left to do but to take the line of least resistance to God's will." I saw that since God is omnipotent, the line of least resistance would be to do as He would have me do. A great burden was lifted from my consciousness. With pages 298 and 299 from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy given to me as a source of inspiration and with the promise of the practitioner to help me, I set out to solve my problem.
