I feel it is a duty as well as a privilege to express my gratitude to God for the many healings we have had in our family since taking up the study of Christian Science over thirty-eight years ago. At that time I had been confined to my bed for months from the aftereffects of diphtheria and an overdose of antitoxin and was extremely nervous. Physicians had done all they could for me, and other remedies had been tried, but to no avail.

Christian Science treatment was recommended, and a copy of The Christian Science Journal was given us so that we might find a practitioner. After one treatment I was able to dress and have dinner with my family. I was completely healed, and the trouble has never reappeared. I have also been healed of chronic sore throat, influenza, and other physical difficulties and have been able to solve business problems.

My husband was healed of influenza and of the smoking habit. One day, when it was about time for him to catch the suburban train on which he came home each evening, I felt impelled to do some Christian Science work for him. Later I learned he had fallen from the train, landing between the platform and the railroad track. As he fell he turned over to face the platform, otherwise the train might have gone over him. He said to me, "Something just seemed to turn me over away from the train."
