"THE LOGIC OF EVENTS"

That which is divinely logical —reasonable and righteous—is destined to appear, for God governs all and is ever unfolding, at the right time and in the right way, His plan for man.

Mary Baker Eddy exemplified in her own life the logic of events. From early childhood the steps in her eventful career were definitely marked and are clearly recognizable as being God-appointed. Mrs. Eddy was destined to bring the Comforter, divine Science, in this time and to this age. All of God's ideas—His children—have a holy purpose and a place to fill. The Scriptures record God's words concerning man (Isa. 43:7), "I have created him for my glory." When and how this glory appears are left to the logical unfoldment of His righteous events.

Many human events which seem to take place in our common walks of life appear far from righteous. Some of them are most distressing. These cannot surmount or surpass the good decreed for man, since God governs, and His will is supreme and inevitable. That which is not good never really occurs, but is only an illusion, a dream, a shadow, having no reality. Christian Science teaches its followers how not only to resist but to destroy those apparent happenings, so threatening to one's peace and progress. This is done through the realization of their nothingness and the allness of God, good. This task must be taken up patiently and persistently. A faithful waiting and working will surely bring to light the logic of Love's events, the reasonable and righteous steps in our God-given careers.
