I wish to express my sincere gratitude...

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science. I have had many blessings and healings through its study and application.

From 1926 to 1932 I was under the constant care of physicians for an internal difficulty. X-ray pictures were made, ten X-ray treatments were given, and I had an operation. The treatments were drastic, but instead of getting better, as I had hoped, I grew worse. Toward the latter part of 1932 there was a consultation with four diagnosticians. They advised an exploratory operation, but gave me no hope.

It was then that I prayed to God for help, in the words of the Psalmist (Ps. 130:1, 2): "Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice." I know God heard my prayer, for that evening a friend telephoned me and said, "You have given the physicians a long time to heal you, and they have not done so; why don't you try Christian Science?" The next morning I consulted a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly helped me. The healing was slow, but I was a little better each day, and I was learning about God, learning to understand and love Him. In about six months I felt like a new person, which indeed I was. I have been in excellent health ever since.
