LOVE'S ETERNAL DAY

As the darkness turns to gray,
Bird song and the dawn confess
Mind's enduring loveliness,
So that I awake to say,
"Thank You, Father, for today"—
Day that is the symbol of
Ever-present light and Love,
Melting all the night away.

Let me be a faithful ray
Of this "Sun of righteousness,"
His unlabored will obey,
Operating but to bless.
So is Love's eternal day
Welcomed into consciousness.
