I am deeply grateful for the unfolding of Christian Science in my consciousness for the past twentytwo years. I had never heard of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, until a relative asked me to read it so that we could discuss it together. At the time, I was suffering from a difficulty, the result of an injury, for which I was taking medicine and from which the doctors said I would never be free. After reading Science and Health through, I decided to stop taking the medicine, and the trouble vanished and has never returned.

I did not realize until several years later that I had been healed by reading Science and Health. I injured my hand, and a severe case of blood poisoning developed. A young man visiting in my home advised having Christian Science treatment, of which I knew nothing. He called a practitioner for an appointment, then drove me to her office. Before I left her office, all the pain had stopped and the swelling and discoloration were fading away. The next day I again visited the practitioner. She showed me how to study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. I purchased Science and Health and started to study Christian Science and put my little daughter in the Sunday School.

Through the study and application of Science, this child has never experienced any of the so-called children's diseases, has never had a disease of any kind, has never had dental treatment, or an accident. She joined a branch church before leaving the Christian Science Sunday School at the age of twenty.
