ESCAPE TO REALITY

"Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest." Do your thoughts echo these familiar words of the Psalmist? Are you yearning for escape from the humdrum of routine or the burdens of dissatisfaction, insecurity, and lack?

To the tired, confused, and disheartened, Jesus said (Matt. 11:28), "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." How tenderly he invites all to find refuge and healing in the Christ, Truth! Today Christian Science is extending the same warm invitation to mankind. Mary Baker Eddy in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," clearly points the way. On page 83 she writes, "Mortals must find refuge in Truth in order to escape the error of these latter days."

Christian Science is the glorious revelation that man is spiritual, the unfallen image and likeness of God, not a mortal subject to the fluctuations of a material universe. Now, at this moment, man is complete, immortal, free, the reflection of infinite intelligence, perfect substance, and the spontaneity of Mind.
