I have many reasons to be grateful...

I have many reasons to be grateful for Christian Science. During the past twenty-seven years it has met my every need, when I have allowed God's will to be done. Sometimes these needs have appeared great, but always through Science the problem has been solved. Naturally I am hourly grateful for the ever-present, protecting power of Truth.

There is a healing that I should like to share. Prior to becoming employed with the government I had to take a physical examination. At the time I was busily engaged in filling two positions. I started one at eight in the morning, finishing at quarter to five in the afternoon; then I drove my car across town and started on another one at five-thirty, working until eleven-thirty at night. I got home and into bed around twelve-thirty and would be up again at six. Thus for many months I averaged about five and a half hours' sleep a day.

The examination progressed nicely, and I seemed to line up very well with the medical standards until the doctor tested my heart. He watched his instrument very closely and then said, "You have very high blood pressure." He added that it would be impossible for him to give me clearance on account of this physical condition, but he recommended that I go home and get two good nights' sleep, and then come back for another test. I agreed to do this.
