It would be impossible to express...

It would be impossible to express adequately my gratitude to God for all the good that has come to me and to my family since we were led to the study of Christian Science; for harmony and happiness in our home; for health and supply; for freedom from fear of the future; and for confidence in the power of our Father to guide and sustain His children during this time of strain and stress.

At a time when financial help was much needed, a practitioner explained that there is no problem, be it sin, sickness, lack, or any other discordant condition, that cannot be overcome through the understanding and application of Christian Science.

I soon realized that I needed to learn the meaning of Jesus' admonition, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you;" also, that our problem could not be met until faults of character, such as resentment, false pride, self-pity, and self-righteousness, had been at least to some extent overcome. I also realized that gratitude for what we had already received would open the way for more abundant supply.
