"And the way ye know"

As the earth mission of Jesus was drawing to a close, he comforted his disciples, saying: "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions.... I go to prepare a place for you.... And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."

"And the way ye know"! What greater assurance could have been given in that momentous hour preceding the crucifixion? Realizing, as they must have realized, that they were soon to be deprived of the personal guidance of their Master, those comforting words unquestionably stilled their fear and assured them of their god-given ability to understand and follow in his footsteps.

The discovery by Mary Baker Eddy of Christian Science, the Science our Master lived and demonstrated has made it possible for the present-day disciples of Christ Jesus to hear the voice of Truth saying to them individually, "And the way ye know." The fundamental truth of being is dawning on mankind, and in the measure of its acceptance men are becoming more and more conscious of a divine influence operating in human affairs. On all sides there is heartening evidence that "God is working His purpose out." This awareness of a divine guiding impetus naturally causes human beings to reach out and find the Love which "never faileth." As the incontestable voice of Truth is heeded, continuing success is assured, ultimating in the victory of righteousness.
