[Original testimony in French]

I consider it my duty to express...

I consider it my duty to express here my deep gratitude to God for a splendid healing received through Christian Science.

During my stay in Paris in the summer of 1939 I had the misfortune, when going to church one Sunday morning, to step into a hole in the sidewalk, and to turn my left ankle. In spite of great pain, I denied vigorously sensation in matter; in this way I overcome the difficulty, which might have prevented me from going to church.

On my return to the hotel I noticed that my foot and ankle were very badly swollen and discolored, and only with great difficulty could I take off my shoe. In the evening I called for help, for I was in great pain and feared that I should not be able to walk. The next morning I could walk by supporting myself with a cane, but at each step I took I felt the little bones which were displaced. My foot was swollen for three days, but thanks to the treatments the pain was gone. During the third night I was wakened with a feeling that a great work was going on. When I got up in the morning I was better able to stand on my foot, and the healing was soon complete.
