Topic: Prayer and the Golden Rule

[I. Johansson, as quoted in the Husmodern, Stockholm, Sweden (translation)]

For him who has learned to go into his "closet" and pray to the Father "in secret"—in the kingdom of Spirit—every day ought to be a day of intercessional prayer. Strong invocations filled with anguish and fear have not helped humanity throughout the history of Christianity. The agonized invocations of the masses that God should "intervene" are negative prayers. God has already done all that should be done. It is through our acknowledgment of that fact that we, through faith and gratitude, should bring to light all good as "in heaven" so "in earth."

[Rev. Fred A. Line, as quoted in the Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona]
