"The child of His care"

Christian Science , the promised Comforter or "Spirit of truth," is bringing enlightenment and blessedness to humanity. None who acquaint themselves more and more intimately with this provable Science need timidly grope for safety, driven by mortal fear. Drawn by infinite Love, each individual can prove his oneness with God, whose reflection is never exposed to sin or disease, peril or sorrow.

God's own likeness, spiritual man, is the incorporeal idea of divine Mind. The Christian Scientist's adherence to this irrevocable fact replaces forlorn belief in danger and loneliness with the poise of conscious oneness with divine Love and everlasting security.

This oneness and security is tenderly conveyed in the definition which Mary Baker Eddy gives on page 589 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." of "Japhet" (Noah's son): "A type of spiritual peace, flowing from the understanding that God is the divine Principle of all existence, and that man is His idea, the child of His care."
