Give God the Praise

For every gleam of light
On pilgrim pathway shed,
For gift of smile to brighten darkened ways;
For every lift of courage,
Test of faith,
Give God the praise!

For, after every storm
Quick sunshine streams athwart
The road that rugged seemed; and songbird sways
Atop each blossoming hedgerow,
Singing clear,
Give God the praise!
