"Thine is the kingdom"

Ascribing all power, all government, to infinite Spirit, the prayer known as the Lord's Prayer closes with this tribute: "Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever."

Jesus had given proof that he knew how to utilize the dominion bestowed by Spirit upon those who understand God. That proof was so convincing that one of his disciples said to the great Teacher, "Lord, teach us to pray."

All that opposes the nature of God is exposed as a pretender to power by the instruction and the proofs Jesus offered. The importance of this fact is that the instruction and the accompanying proofs are within reach of every right seeker now and always. Christian Science makes clear how to proceed in the effort to understand God sufficiently to bring the divine will to bear upon every phase of the seeker's experience. This Christian desire is spreading for two reasons, namely, the demonstrations of God's goodness through Christian Science, and the hopelessness of merely human means to solve the problems confronting the world.
