The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Chemnitz, Germany (First Church).

Lecturer: Miss Lucia C. Coulson; introduced by Paul Arno Irmschler, who said:—

Before I knew of Christian Science, I seemed unable to go forward in spite of most zealous endeavor. Illness in my family and economic misfortunes in business kept recurring during many years, so that everything I was able to earn vanished to nothing. But my learning of Christian Science in 1932 became the turning point in my life, and the theme of our lecture today, "Spiritual Achievement through the Understanding of Christian Science," was proved to be true in my experience. The more I have delved into the study of Christian Science, the more quickly has occurred the solution of one problem after another, so that I can say today that I am a freer and happier man through the understanding and application of Christian Science.
