Christian Science came to me as a good Samaritan, about six years ago, when I felt useless and hopeless.

I received no comfort from the orthodox church, which I attended, and turned away from it. I had recently lost an arm, and a little later all material supply vanished and our home was given up. Through the love reflected by the friends who introduced Christian Science to me, I was led to inquire into it, and found it to be indeed the Comforter of which Christ Jesus spoke.

Though at first my difficulties seemed great, I had in Christian Science something far greater, and it never failed me. Mrs. Eddy says on page 412 of the textbook, Science and Health, "The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent."
