In meekness and sincerity I wish to acknowledge to the world my gratitude for the unspeakable gift of Love; to Christ Jesus, who revealed the glorious truth of man sanctified and God glorified; to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who through her purity and unselfed love has removed the mist which for hundreds of years has blinded the eyes of countless thousands to the light of Love, which, she teaches us, "inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way" (Science and Health, p. 454). Jesus said, "I am the way." So we are lovingly and tenderly led again to the Christ, ever present to welcome the weary and heavy-laden.

I can never be grateful enough that this message was given me by a friend when I was indeed weary and heavy-laden. I was led to that priceless book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which brings surcease from trouble of every nature to all who earnestly and prayerfully follow the admonitions and statements of truth found therein.

I was directed to this truth, not for a healing for myself, but for a loved one, though I had been an invalid for years. I was in bondage to many material so-called laws, such as those supposed to involve prolapsed stomach and other organs, constipation, stricture of the bowels, acute indigestion, and bronchial coughs, the paroxysms of which left me in a fainting condition; in fact I was a physical wreck, only saved from an operation by the verdict of the physicians that I could not survive the shock of a surgeon's knife.
