I became interested in Christian Science by request. When I met the man who later became my husband, he asked me to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, because the realized how much more harmonious our future home would be if we were not divided in our religious beliefs.

For many years after we were married I read, but did not study. After receiving much help and finding my many questions answered, I gradually became more interested. Children in the home added to the demand for understanding in solving problems; and after thirteen years I am very happy to say that I have been an active worker in a Christian Science Society and am a member of The Mother Church; and I can say without doubt, Where there is activity there is growth.

An outstanding demonstration of Truth's healing power came when one of our boys was four years old. He was struck and run over by a car. Although the glass was broken in the headlight, he was not cut. When he was examined, no bones were found broken. As the car had passed over his chest, the physican said he was hurt internally and must be put into a cast. We were not willing that this should be done. The child was taken home and a Christian Science practitioner was called. A friend in the home said afterward that he felt sure the child could not live through the night.
