We are told by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, on page 66 of Science and Health, that "trials are proofs of God's care." At times one is tempted to doubt this statement, but on gaining a greater understanding of Truth, and rising above these so-called trials, one realizes the truth of our Leader's words.

For many years I lived in countries far away from any Christian Science church. I have relied only on Christian Science for myself and my son, and we have always been safely guided through many problems with the loving help of practitioners.

One healing which stands out very clearly took place when my son was about four years of age. He was playing in the garden, running around with bare feet, when he turned the gardener's heavy iron barrow on his foot. He was brought to me in the house, and for a moment I had a great fear, as there seemed no one near enough to help. Then I realized that Love could not be any nearer than at that moment. I sat the child on my knee and talked to him of God's loving care of His children. The foot at first glance was terribly discolored, but in ten minutes the little son was running away down the garden and all was forgotten.
