It is with deepest gratitude that I write this testimony, which I fervently hope may help someone who is seeking Truth, health, and happiness; for my entry into Christian Science has brought all these blessings into my life.

Over two years ago I began to attend Christian Science services. At the time 1 was wholly indifferent to religion of any kind, neither had I the least idea what Christian Science was or what it claimed to be; but, one day, after attending several services, I took up the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and began to read the Preface. I at once realized that this book was something entirely different from anything that I had come across previously in a long and varied experience. Although suffering from various serious ailments, I had no thought or expectation that what 1 was reading could do anything in the way of healing, but as I read I could not but realize that the wisdom and truth as presented by our revered Leader were divinely inspired; therefore I continued to read the textbook for several days. Then, one morning when T got out of bed and began to dress, I found that I was healed of everything that had troubled me, and no longer required the support of the medical appliances that it had been necessary for me to wear for years past. I had been "born again," the flesh of my whole body was changed "like unto the flesh of a little child."

The overwhelming joy of this healing can perhaps be better imagined than described, for I was no longer bound in pain and misery, but was once more able to walk and move about like a young man. The spiritual uplifting which accompanied this was truly wonderful, and for a long time 1 felt as if I were in a dream. However, continuing to study and read the Science literature, three months later I followed our Leader's advice given on page 393 of Science and Health, and took possession of my body, for I now realized that as God's child I was free and could not possibly require eyeglasses with which to read. I therefore laid them aside and have not used them since. For this healing and many other blessings which have come to me I humbly thank God and our Leader. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for all the literature and publications; and for class instruction. I am indeed grateful for all these blessings.
