Talking with God

Oh, rest, dear child of God, and know
That faithful watch thy Father keeps.
Thy faintest whispered prayer is heard
By Him who slumbers not nor sleeps.

Know, too, that every word of truth
Thou hearest in the midnight hour
Comes from the voice of God Himself,
Winged with true healing, peace, and power.

To talk with God is holy joy,
Unfolds the real immortal man,
Reveals eternal Life and Love,
God's will for all, His perfect plan.
