I have had many wonderful healings in Christian Science of severe burns, carbuncles, abscesses, and very severe colds, but the outstanding healing was of a broken leg.

While crossing the street, I was knocked down by a car. One of my legs was broken in the worst possible place, according to materia medica, the tendons at the knee were severed, and the condition was considered very serious, especially on account of my age. My son called a practitioner near by, and she lovingly began to work for me, and was most faithful during the entire experience. Not for a minute did I suffer any pain; and the healing was very rapid according to the doctor, whom I had allowed to set the bone because my son insisted upon it.

Throughout the experience all was love and harmony and happiness. I ahd always been very active, and my friends tried to sympathize with me over my enforced idleness, but I felt it a great opportunity to get nearer to God. A prediction was made that I should never be able to walk without having an operation. The leg is stronger, if anything, than the other one. The doctor asked me to stop in to see him sometime, which I did, and he could not believe what he saw. He and the nurse were very co-operative while I was in the hospital. I had asked to be released from the taking of medicines and having my temperature noted, and they agreed.
