The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Kansas City, Missouri (Third Church).

Lecturer: Miss Margaret Murney Glenn; introduced by Mrs. Bessie L. Bignall, who said: —

Gaining an understanding of Love as the great primal cause of all true existence is of importance to everyone. The misconceptions of causation, or God, with consequent fear, selfishness, and false idolatry, have produced the disease, discord, and stress which mortals experience. It is only by getting a realization of the divine Principle of being and making practical use of our understanding in everyday experience that we can regain and retain a sense of lasting harmony and freedom. Christian Science teaches us how to do this. It teaches us how to realize our relationship with our heavenly Father-Mother God and bring forth our spiritual identities as His loved children. We also learn how necessary and powerful Love really is, how we are sustained, comforted, and satisfied by God, who is Love.
