Prince Albert Herald

In your issue of January 28 there appears an article in which a reference is made to Christian Science. The reference conveys a wrong impression, and for the benefit of your readers your publication of this letter will be greatly appreciated.

The speaker refers to "Yogi and Hindu cults, Christian Science and theosophy" as if they were all similar. The fact is that Christian Science is not like anything but Christianity, the pure demonstrable Christianity which Jesus of Nazareth taught and practiced. Christian Science is restoring to mankind the truth of being which makes men free. In the concluding chapter of the Gospel of St. Mark there are enumerated a number of the sings which "shall follow them that believe," including the healing of sickness. Thousands of people throughout the world are daily experiencing healings of all manner of diseases through the loving ministrations of Christian Science, and thousands daily are satisfactory solving such human problems as fear, accident, poverty, and unemployment by the same means.

There is no mysticism or mystery about Christian Science except it be "the mystery of godliness," spoken of by Paul in his first epistle to Timothy. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," on page 80, Mrs. Eddy says, "Science dispels mystery and explains extraordinary phenomena; but Science never removes phenomena from the domain of reason into the realm of mysticism."
