My Place

Dear God, Thou hast a place prepared for me,
A place that only wisdom's eye can see;
And, knowing this, I need not seek an earthly place,
Nor outline how Thy hand shall lead me on,
But I'll accept each day the joys Thy tender grace
Provides. And as I place my hand in Thine and walk upon
This higher ground in Mind's pure realm of consecrated thought,
My heart's sincere desire—yea, e'en the human need—
For peace and permanence shall be supplied.
I'll know as I am known, Thy perfect child,
Who knows no need except to know Thy love, and to abide
Within the sweetness of Thy law complete.
Dear God, with this I shall be satisfied.
The consciousness of Love divine my home shall ever be—
My work in Truth, the unselfed joy of serving only Thee.
