"My speech shall distil as the dew"

As the dew at morning's dawning
Shall Thy Word distill,
Giving hope and fresh endeavor
To obey Thy will.
I would ask a gentler patience
In the daily round,
That Thy Word's pure understanding
In my heart abound.

As the dew when evening cometh
Shall Thy Word distill,
Bringing calm to day's commotion
With Love's "Peace, be still"!
Give me, Lord, to feel Thy presence
In the night's sweet pause,
That Thy Word may come with power
To fulfill Thy laws.
