Lecturer: William Wallace Porter; introduced by Mrs. Mary Andrews Sefton, who said:—

Our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, not only has taught her followers the way to health and happiness, but has stated on page 57 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" that this happiness "cannot exist alone, but requires all mankind to share it." Therefore, you can know something of the sincerity of our welcome to you. In the Scriptures we are told, "For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath." Science and Health has unlocked the meaning of those words by revealing that unto him that hath even the least spiritual understanding shall be given more of the health and harmony ever awaiting those who love and serve God, omnipotent good. The warning shall also be given that unto him that hath not this spiritual understanding shall be taken away even that he hath of dependence upon material agencies, with their fears and doubts, their discouragement, pain, and sorrow.
