In your issue of April 9, you review an article entitled "The Hindu Invasion of America," and assert that Christian Science approaches Hinduism very closely, and that according to the article in question Mary Baker Eddy owed the foundation of her idea to Hinduism.

Whether or not Christian Science approaches Hinduism may be judged in the light of the following quotations from "The Story of Religion," written by the same author whose article you review. In speaking of Hinduism in this book, the author says, "It may be seriously questioned whether it can properly be called a religion at all."

Then note also what he says about Mrs. Eddy in this same book: "No one but a prejudiced bigot can deny her credit for having made available to hundreds of thousands of sufferers a method of healing which literally gave them new life. . . . And if attendance at church and testimony meetings and a general air of joy and happiness are true indexes, then Christian Science is vastly . . . successful."
