Dagbladet

In Dagbladet of the 21st ult. appears an item sent out from the publisher about a book which is now being translated into Norwegian, and which among other things deals with Christian Science. Everyone who has a knowledge of this religion will understand from the extract from the author's preface, quoted in your paper, that the author has an entirely wrong conception of Christian Science. For example, he writes that it acts through "the chloroforming ecstasy of the faith-power."

Christian Science does not appeal to the emotions, nor is it based on blind belief. It is, as the name indicates, Science, the Science of Christianity; and healing through Christian Science rests altogether on spiritual understanding and enlightened Christian faith.
