I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, as...

I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, as taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This wonderful teaching found me on the verge of atheism. Several years previous I had given up my former religion, for it had become as an empty shell to me. I first heard of Christian Science through the healing of a friend. I was at that time suffering from the fear of cancer, which was believed to be hereditary in our family. A friend lent me the textbook, and in accordance with the advice in Revelation, "I took the little book ... and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey;" for the realization of a God of love so illuminated my thoughts that a burden seemed lifted from my heart and many errors disappeared into their native nothingness, together with the condition I have spoken of. Many cases of disease and ugly wire cuts in cattle and horses have yielded to the treatment of Christian Science.

During the epidemic of influenza I helped to care for a friend who became ill with the disease. On my return home the same symptoms manifested themselves in me. I immediately applied the truth as taught in Christian Science, and was perfectly healed in a few hours. Colds and fever have very often been healed instantly.

It is impossible to reiterate all the physical healings which I have experienced, but they cannot be compared with the spiritual uplifting I am experiencing. Words are inadequate to express my profound gratitude for Christian Science, and I wish to thank those who have in any way been instrumental in bringing this wonderful teaching to my attention, also the loving practitioners who have helped me in my need.
