A recent issue of your paper, in giving an account of the closing service of a revival held in your city, says, "The lecture at night on Christian Science fully exposed to thoughtful people one of the most dangerous delusions of our day." Misrepresentations of the teachings of Christian Science are becoming less each year, due to the fact that "thoughtful people" are becoming more and more acquainted with irrefutable proofs of the Christlike healing, saving ministry of Christian Science, which to-day, as of yore, is uplifting the fallen, reclaiming the drunkard, reforming the sinner, healing the sick, and comforting those that mourn. The Saviour said, "Lo, I am with you alway;" and unto thousands, Christian Science is revealing the precious Christ, which heals and saves to the uttermost. "Thoughtful people," instead of believing Christian Science to be "one of the most dangerous delusions of our day," are finding it to be one of mankind's greatest benefactors. Not since the days of Christ Jesus, and the three centuries following, have the words and works of the Master been demonstrated with such wonderful healing and saving power as is being accomplished to-day through the application of Christian Science. There is scarcely to be found a community where there are not living beneficiaries of its healing, saving ministry. In olden times those healed by Christ Jesus were accused of being deluded. Since then, however, the account of his healing ministry of love has been rightly acclaimed "the sweetest story ever told."

The membership of the Christian Science church is composed largely of those who were formally members, in good and regular standing, of so-called orthodox churches, including the Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Congregational, Episcopal, and others. Christian Scientists still love their former churches. They left them because there came a time in their life experience when their church either did not or could not meet their need, while Christian Science did meet it, and is continuing to do so. On page 111 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy writes, "I love the orthodox church; and, in time, that church will love Christian Science."
