Kindly permit me to state that Christian Science healing is not the result of "mysterious mental processes," if by this is meant abnormal activities of the so-called human mind. Neither is Christian Science a form of mental suggestion. Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." In other words, except a man become conscious of man's spiritual nature as the son of God, he cannot see the absolute supremacy of Spirit. It was because Jesus scientifically understood the spiritual and eternal nature of God and man that he was able to perform the wonderful healing work which inspired Nicodemus to declare: "No man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." Christian Science teaches that God is divine Mind, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent; and that the real man, the spiritual image and likeness of God, is harmonious and immortal. To the degree that one actually understands and demonstrates these fundamental spiritual facts, he can prove the truth of Jesus' statement, as given in the gospel of John. "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also."
