The next best thing to hearing any lecture is to read a good report of it. Undoubtedly many, one may say most, of your readers have felt greatly indebted to you for the full report which you published of a recent lecture on Christian Science. I know of one who heard this lecture, and who complained because the speaker only told what could be found in the Bible. In this case, the purpose for which the lectures are given by duly authorized members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship was fully vindicated,—namely, the removing of misconceptions of Christian Science. Owing to these lectures, and the reports of them given by reputable journals like the Geelong Advertiser, the publicare being educated into some knowledge that Christian Science is simply what it claims to be, the rediscovery, restatement, and practice of the teachings of Jesus.

Mrs. Eddy, realizing the importance of the atonement, devoted the whole of the second chapter of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," to it. Christian Science honors the Founder of Christianity in no uncertain way.
