Christian Science has been my comfort and help for...

Christian Science has been my comfort and help for seven years; and I can say with the Psalmist, "O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day." In 1914, with a Christian Science friend I left for a trip through California. At this time I was not interested in Christian Science, but through the beautiful life of my friend, who let her light shine, I became interested. On our return East I visited a Christian Science practitioner. Many years previous to this time I had gone through a very serious operation, only to find myself in a much worse condition and left with a double rupture. I consulted physicians, East and West, only to be told a second operation was necessary. In two months or less, after work was taken up by a Christian Science practitioner, I was healed and able to discard an abdominal bandage and a truss that had been worn eighteen years. I am very grateful for the healing of boils and the proof of mental surgery I had at this time. Six years ago on my way to Honolulu I was healed of a long-standing stomach trouble while under treatment for seasickness. I have had many other healings, for which I am most grateful.

Our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings."—(Mrs.) Louise A. Kies, St. Louis, Mo.
